Hear ye, hear ye!
It’s time for class elections.
Summary
The election process for class officers is kicking off. The format will mirror the same election process as in 2018. Like the last election, it will be done in two phases.
- Nominations. (6 August – 19 August)
- Voting. (21 August – 8 September)
The new class officers-elect will take over at the end of our 30th reunion during the Sunday brunch at the Fluegel Alumni Center (class officers-elect need not be present at the brunch to assume their office).
Overview
Our 30-year reunion is right around the corner (about eight weeks away). With each major 5-year reunion we elect our class officers. Class officers serve for a term of five years and begin their term at the conclusion of a major reunion.
The class officer positions are:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Correspondence Secretary
Those names that appear on the ballot must be nominated by 15 members of the class.
If you are interested in running for office then please send an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your name (or the name of a classmate you’re nominating) and the class office position you are running for. When the election official, Wayne Grasdock, receives your e-mail we will establish an online petition on our class website (usna93.com) so you can gather your 15 nominating votes.

During the call-for-nominations phase (6 August – 19 August), classmates can nominate themselves, or another classmate, for a position as a class officer (president, vice president, treasurer, and correspondence secretary). Those names appearing on the ballot must be nominated by 15 members of the class.

- Class voting
Voting will begin on or about August 21. (As soon as the class election official has the voting system up and running on usna93.com. We’re using the same software system we used five years ago.)
I’ll pass more info, reminders, and instructions leading up to the class vote phase.
Election results will be announced just prior to our 30-year reunion and the new term for each position will begin at the conclusion of our reunion.
