Greetings, ’93.  Tanya (Wallace) Presser

Upon graduating USNA, I served 20 years as a Naval Officer, retiring as a Commander from the U.S. Navy Reserve.  I served 10 years on active duty and then transitioned to reserve duty for the remaining 10 years finishing with a tour at PACFLEET Public Affairs.  During my reserve time, I graduated from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business with a focus in marketing.  I have since been working in medical sales for various pharmaceutical/biotech and rare-disease companies.

I am married and have two almost 17-year-old twins, Drew and Kate.  We reside in Southern California but have recently purchased a home in Annapolis with plans to become permanent residents there upon becoming ‘empty nesters.’

I enjoy most connecting with people, and I feel incredibly fortunate for the bonds many of us have made from our time at USNA.  My hope is to be of service to our class and to our USNA brotherhood/sisterhood.

Random facts to share – as I don’t take myself too very seriously – life is too short, and laughter is key:

1) Bob Kuberski asked me to throw my name in the hat for this.  I like helping/serving, so happy to do so.
2) I finally learned how to sail during COVID.  Plebe summer sailing was a blur.  You will catch me on various weekends on the Pacific with friends and female USNA classmates.  *Tiffany, Debbie, Julie, Joy, MeiLing (you are next)
3) I like to learn – anything.  Keeps us young.  Just took/passed my Maryland state broker exam, so I am now a broker in both California and Maryland.
4) Addicted to Pilates is an understatement.
5) I am a proud member of the Fleet Reserve Club – happy to buy any of you a cheap beer when in Annapolis.

Go Navy!
